Subukin Elementary School ALS CLC Launch
Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) launched the DepEd Cebuana Lhuillier ALS Community Learning Center (CLC) in Subukin Elementary School last October 10, 2018 in San Juan, Batangas.
Present during the inauguration were Mayor Rodolfo H. Manalo, Ms. Genera M. Lumalang, Principal of El Nido Central School, Mr. Philippe Andre D Lhuillier, Senior Executive President of PJLI Group of Companies and Mr. Jonathan D. Batangan, Executive Director of CLFI.
In behalf of the town, Mayor Rodolfo H. Manalo sincerely thanked Cebuana Lhuillier for choosing Subukin ES as its adopted ALS learning center. Mr. Lhuillier gave back the compliments by thanking Mayor Manalo for the warm welcome and for accepting the intervention in the Alternative Learning System in the Municipality of San Juan with the opening of Cebuana Lhuillier’s 78th ALS center.
Also present during the event were CLFI Education and Special Projects Head, Kristina Muñiz, Regional Head Andy Dario and Area 306 Head Peter Cabauatan.
Lastly, Mr. Batangan, in his closing message, highlighted that the CLFI’s thrust of setting up ALS centers is a meaningful gesture of giving back to the community for the continued patronage and loyalty of Cebuana Lhuillier clients. By advocating education as a potent force for social transformation, CLFI has already helped almost 8,000 learners nationwide to graduate which gives them a better chance in life.
Since 2014, CLFI has opened 78 DepEd Cebuana ALS CLC nationwide. Two (2) ALS centers are scheduled to be opened within the year.
