CLFI unveils 88th ALS Community Learning Center in Pasay City

True to its commitment to providing second chances at pursuing education to out-of-school youth and adult learners, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. launched its 88th Alternative Learning System Community Learning Center (ALS CLC) in Padre Burgos Elementary School, Pasay City. Present during the launch were First Vice President and CLFI Executive Director Jonathan D. Batangan, Susan Bautista representing Pasay City Mayor Hon. Imelda Calixto – Rubiano, CLFI Program Development Head Anna Leah F. Macalincag, DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Loreta B. Torrecampo and Chief Education Program Specialist Librado Torres. With the launch of the new ALS CLC, CLFI will work closely with Pasay Division’s ALS unit to make financial literacy modules available on the DepEd Division website and organize regular Iponaryo learning sessions with ALS teachers and learners starting this month.  

 

Through the partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), CLFI initiated the Alternative Learning program in 2013 to help thousands of Filipino learners continue their education. To date, CLFI has reached 36,319 learners through the program.
