CLFI and DepEd Recognize Outstanding Research Studies

Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) teamed up with the Department of Education Literacy Coordinating Council (DepEd LCC) for the National Literacy Conference held in Iloilo City. With the theme, “Aligning 21st Century Literacies to Industry 4.0 through Research,” this year’s conference brought together more than 500 education leaders, program implementers and partners for learning sessions on new literacy teaching models. The event also showcased research studies conducted by teachers on 21st Century Literacies, as well has held discussions on implementing literacy-based local community programs.

This year’s event was concluded with the awarding of 26 teachers who were recognized for outstanding oral and poster presentations for their respective research studies. Awards were presented by DepEd LCC together with CLFI and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

CLFI also received a Plaque of Appreciation from DepEd LCC as a partner for the National Literacy Awards (NLA). The NLA gives out recognition for exemplary local literacy programs, including the Special Excellence Awards for three-time NLA winners, as well as the Hall of Fame Awards.
