Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte - Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI), in partnership with the Department of Education, successfully launched its 48th Alternative Learning System - Community Learning Center (ALS - CLC) in Dipolog Pilot Demonstration School, Zamboanga del Norte last October 6.
CLFI Program Department Manager Kristina Muñiz led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and discussed the goal of CLFI for ALS partners to increase the number of learners and passers of the Accreditation and Equivalency Test. She also mentioned the possibility of giving scholarships to deserving ALS passers and encouraged the learners to give their best in their studies.
After the turnover of donations, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent – OIC Dr. Majarani Jacinto thanked Cebuana Lhuillier for supporting the ALS program of DepEd and said that “we are all one in this advocacy and education.”
Also present in the event were Dipolog City Mayor Darel Dexter Uy, Area 508 Manager Louie Estrada, School Principal Sharika Jumawan, ALS Education Program Specialist II Danilo Lausa, and Education Program Supervisor Ronillo Yarag.
