Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) was recognized at the recently concluded 2019 League of Corporate Foundations’ (LCF) CSR Guild Awards. CLFI’s Alternative Learning Program (ALP) was among the top Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives chosen by  LCF members for this year's Outstanding CSR Project in Education category. CLFI’s ALS program is a project conducted in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd).

LCF's recognition, given through the CSR Guild Awards, highlights the importance of the Foundation's collaboration with DepEd in transforming the lives of the youth and adults who have participated and successfully completed the program. Since the ALS’ commencement in 2013, CLFI has supported 7,863 learners in 81 ALS Community Learning Centers (CLCs) nationwide. After completing the ALS program, learners may pursue further studies in college while others may opt to go for further skills training essential for employment or setting up their respective enterprise for livelihood.

Moving forward, CLFI endeavors to forge new partnerships with organizations that share its commitment and advocacy in education. The aim is to set up more community learning centers in different parts of the country that are equipped with the latest ICT facilities. More importantly, CLFI looks forward to providing greater opportunities for both young and adult learners to lead successful and more productive lives.
