In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Cebuana Lhuillier, PJLGC President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuilllier together with members of the ManCom, Regional, and General Managers went on a trip down memory lane with the a special edition of the Walk with the CEO last May 2.
The group went to the 51st DepEd-Cebuana Lhuillier ALS-CLC in Baclaran Elementary School, Parañaque and observed an ongoing ALS class. Afterwards, Mary Anne Nova, one of the learners, thanked Cebuana and DepEd for the chance to study again. “I was not able to finish high school due to financial difficulties and my responsibility as a mother. But I went back to school and strived to finish high school to help my family.” Former CLFI scholars and current PJLGC employees Ronalyn Mariano and Terenz Ferrer also shared their stories as a Ka-Cebuana. “Cebuana Lhuillier made a big impact in my life. I finished my studies through the scholarship I received and now, I was able to help my family as a Cebuana Lhuillier employee,” Ronalyn said.
JHL reminded the participants of the importance of the Walk with the CEO and each other’s role in the success of the company. “Through this activity, we found out the company’s story for the past 30 years is our clients’ stories – their struggles and how they overcame the difficulties in their lives through our products and services. This year, I challenge everyone to give their best and make sure we develop more products and services to cater to the growing needs of our clients,” he said.
